Schalke confirm themselves appear in the Europa League round of 16 despite having struggled to beat the Czech club, Viktoria Plzen, 3-1 (aggregate 4-2) in the second leg of the Europa League round of 32, Thursday (23/02/2012). Two of the three-goal victory brought Schalke striker Klaas-Jan Huntelaar in extra time, after a 1-1 draw in normal time 90 minutes.
